Missional Ministries

World Missions

MCON has a long history of being vitally invested in world missions. We are committed to the work of Nazarene missions and other mission organizations around the world. You will quickly find as you worship at MCON that the call to missions support is a part of our culture. We have several special opportunites each year to give to world missions.

Jesus Film

Jesus Film Harvest Partners is a ministry inside the Nazarene church that helps to facilitate the showing of the Jesus Film to spread the gospel around the world. We at MCON believe that this is one of the most effective evangelism tools today. From our church we are the full support of two Jesus Film teams. These teams spend ten months of the year going from town to town sharing the gospel through the Jesus Film and then discipling new believers. The two teams that MCON supports are in Central Argentina and in the Dominican Republic. If you would like more information about Jesus Film Harvest Partners please visit www.jfhp.org.

Work & Witness

Work & Witness is a short term missions opportunity through the Nazarene church. In 2012 MCON had 25 people go to Arizona to work and witness on the Navajo Reservation. If you are looking for opportunities to go on short term missions trips MCON is a place that will connect you with the opportunity to go.

Backpack Program

Matthew 25 is very clear in teaching us that our ministry to the poor is an obvious fruit of a vibrant relationship with Christ. MCON is a major partner in a feeding program to less fortunate children in East Gibson. We are able to provide them with meals every weekend that go home from school. This ministry is always looking for volunteers to help pack the backpacks and organize.

Summer Kickoff

At the beginning of every summer MCON hosts it’s annual Summer Kickoff. This event is a free event to the community and is a festival that offers music, games, food and prizes. This event continues to grow every year and is an exciting chance for MCON to meet and connect with the local community.
